Dawood practices in the fields of criminal law, civil litigation and family law. He works closely with his clients at every stage of the proceeding. Dawood is a diligent and assertive advocate in protecting the rights, liberty and reputation of his clients.
Dawood obtained his Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology with distinction from Wilfrid Laurier University. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Ottawa. During his legal studies, Dawood was a member of the Innocence Project and assisted with the review of complex criminal law cases including first and second degree murder cases. He also volunteered his time with Pro Bono Students Canada.
Dawood has successfully represented clients charged with various criminal and provincial offences. As a Partner, he regularly appears in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice. Additionally, he provides support to senior firm counsel in complex criminal matters. Dawood believes in holding the state accountable and has experience initiating civil claims against the police.
Dawood is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Criminal Lawyers’ Association.
